Hershey Park, Hershey, PA

If you’re a kid at heart and you like chocolate, it only makes sense to go to Hershey Park when you are in Harrisburg, PA.  It is a family theme park which probably has a lot of different activities.  Our visit was very short.  We went to Hershey Chocolate World and did the Great American Chocolate Tour ride.  The ride takes you through the entire process of creating chocolate bars, and is nicely done.  It would be interesting for people of all ages.  They pay a lot of attention to detail at this park.  As an example, the street lights are shaped like Hershey’s Kisses.

After that we spent time exploring the gift shop to see if they had any chocolate we would like (it’s not so easy when what you like is very dark chocolate).  We did find a couple of things worth trying.  One of the employees helped us out with a few samples so we could make informed choices.  That was a nice touch.

Chocolate World has a website at http://www.hersheys.com/chocolateworld/experience where you can get information on what the attraction offers.  If you are interested in the theme park, their website is http://www.hersheypark.com/.

Chocolate World was a fun way to spend a couple of hours.  But we can now cross that off our bucket list.  For us there is really no point in going back.  More pics in this album.
