Pagosa Brewing Co., Pagosa Springs, CO

Pagosa Brewing was a happy find, thanks to a lady we encountered at Steamworks in Durango.  When we looked at the map we realized that we could take a different route to Santa Fe and have a beer snack at yet another brewpub.  How could we not do it?

Pagosa Springs is apparently a resort town, in an area that has excellent skiing.  The photo below will give you an idea of the beauty of the town’s setting.

Pagosa brewing is a very casual place, with most of the seating outside under tents.  They do serve a variety of food and according to the lady who told us about the brewery, they make good pizza.

Since we were just looking for a snack, we each ordered a pint of beer and shared a sausage appetizer plate.  They do have a sampler, which is enormous:  it totals about 3 pints!  That seemed a little much for a meal, let alone a snack.

Once again we found an award-winning brewery.  They are small, but make excellent beer.  We enjoyed the ones we tried.  We were there around 3:00 PM on a Friday and they had quite a few customers.

Pagosa Brewing has a website that includes menu information at http://pagosabrewing.com

It would be fun to visit again when we could try more of their beers.

There are more pictures in the photo album.
