Breakside Brewing, Portland OR

Of the breweries we visited in Portland, this was by far the most amazing experience.  We were at the Dekum Pub.  It started with our server, Becky, who was eager to help figure out which dishes would work for one of our party who has issues with certain common ingredients.  She was clearly glad to be able to make our experience a pleasant one.

Then there was the beer.  Once again we ordered a sampler, and once again we somehow managed to never take a photo of that sampler.  We had the camera with us, as you can tell, and we did get pictures of the menus.  Oh, well.  We may not have photos but we have wonderful memories of truly excellent beer.  And we were smart enough to take notes on which beers we tried.  Those beers were Pilsner, Irish Stout, IPA, Safeword, Amuse - a Belgian session beer, Salted Caramel Stout, Guava IRA (not a typo) - a red ale, and Single Hop Azacca, a golden ale.

Then there was the food.  We had a lamb burger, which had an amazing flavor and the apple hazelnut salad, which was also very good.

We would love to be able to visit this brewpub again.

There are more photos in this album.
